Gina Silvagni Perry

FAMILY: I am married for 26 years to Don Perry and we have one daughter, Olivia Therese, named after my mother and my husband’s mother. Our daughter is our pride and joy, she graduated from Gorman in 2015, is 25 years old and works for Howard Hughes and the Las Vegas Ball Park as a Special Events Coordinator.

Like so many others, I’ve lost both of my parents, my brother, Peter, who graduated BGHS in 1970, and my half-sister, Patty. Although so many loved ones are gone, I am fortunate to have a large Italian family, and my husband’s family, too.

OCCUPATION: Following in my mother’s footsteps, I became a professional dancer with Barry Ashton Wolff Kochman Productions in 1975 and traveled to Alaska, San Francisco, Miami Beach, and Puerto Rico, performing in Las Vegas style production shows.

I moved back to Las Vegas in 1978, after my dad passed away and the show that I was performing in ended. I continued following my role model’s footsteps (mother) by obtaining my Real Estate license in 1979 and joining Heritage Realty Co., the company my mother established in 1969, where I worked doing odds and ends as a teenager. I became the broker of Heritage Realty Co in 1998 and remain so today, where I specialize in commercial real estate, and do residential real estate for friends and family. Heritage Realty Co. is the oldest, longest continuously and currently running, female owned, family owned, real estate company, in Las Vegas history.

Currently, I am writing a biography about my grandfather, P.O. Silvagni, who built, opened, and operated the Apache Hotel and Casino in 1932 in Downtown Las Vegas, and who was responsible for giving Las Vegas its leg up to its future in the hospitality industry and set Las Vegas on its course to become the Entertainment Capital of The World (he's been cancelled and media ghosted over the years).

FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL MEMORIES: Father Bibeault for not flunking me! Being able to get through high school knowing what a woman is without CRT, Diversity Training, Pronouns, and being taught men can have babies.

HOW I LIKE TO SPEND MY TIME: Enjoying Family, following the VGK, The Aviators, The Raiders, The Buccaneers (Brady), and the Dodgers. Healthy Living, Cooking, Pilates, Reading and WRITING!

FUN TIDBIT(S) ABOUT ME: I’ve Traveled through Asia and Africa, and around the world for a Semester At Sea, on World Campus Afloat, in 1974, which gave me the courage to be myself and follow my dreams.

HIGHTLIGHTS OF MY LIFE SINCE HIGH SCHOOL: Our Daughter and her achievements, the lives and achievements of our family members, World Campus Afloat, and being part of the docuseries franchise, "Las Vegas-The Early Years-The 1930’s” (UTube), when for the first time in decades, P.O. Silvagni, was recognized as part of Las Vegas history!
